WebI would definitely recommend sundara. Don't fret over qc. The worst that'll happen is you have to contact hifiman or Amazon. Both are very good about honoring RMAs. As for an amp, the sundaras are a surprisingly easy to drive planar. They sound pretty good with a dongle, great with a mobile amp, and amazing with a good desktop amp.
